Changes in CBSE Class 11 Examination Pattern (Academic Session 2023-24)
Composition of Question Paper for Year-End Examination/Board Examination (Theory):
1. Competency Focused Questions: 40%
These questions will be in the form of MCQs/Case Based Questions, Source-based Integrated Questions, or any other type designed to assess students' competencies.
2. Select Response Type Questions (MCQs): 20%
This section will consist of multiple-choice questions where students select the correct response from given options.
3. Constructed Response Questions: 40%
This section includes Short Answer Questions/Long Answer type Questions, as per the existing pattern, allowing students to demonstrate their understanding in detail.
Note:
These changes have been implemented to align assessment practices with Competency Focused Education, aiming to foster holistic development and a deeper understanding of concepts among students.
